Hey DF!!

I just started playing "live" again, and was wondering this exact thing about using Pro Tools on stage. Here's something you said: "I run one Pro Tools session with all songs that we might play in the set all within that one session. Being the drummer, I play with a click track (and all the backing tracks) in my headphones."

Anyway you can post that PT file? I know I won't have the audio in it and that's fine...just would like to see all your plumbing and see if I can apply it to my situation.

Are you just sending/bussing the click track and back/vox to one/separate output? Any problems with latency??

My plan was to use it to also record our "live" performance. The drums (electronic) would take 2 tracks, 2 guitars, a bass, and that leaves 3 for vox right? That's where routing becomes an issue as I've never done this, and don't know yet how much bussing it will take to receive all 8 (PT digi 002) inputs and have them all (except midi and click tracks) go out the 1-2 stereo Master.

If you have time...

Hi David,

Brent from Digidesign Australia/NZ here. Just wanted to say thanks for helping get the message out about the TS folder. Its massively useful. So much time of our Tech support department is helping clients who've had problems in compatiblity, either chipset, OS or PT or plug in version.
I intend to do a blog post (or maybe video) to help folks walk through the installation process in the near future, which follows on from this topic quite well I think.

The Transfuser VI is great. Although I just wanted to correct the statement about the full product having over 2GB of sounds/loops.

Digidesign stated it would be more than the demo's 200MB of sounds/loops, closer to 2GB, but the actual amount of sounds/loops included with the full product is only 1.6GB. 7 times more than available with the demo (rather than 9).

So they rounded it off to 2GB. Horrible honestly level.

I've worked more with M-Audio then Protools. I never switch over to Protools completely. When I started to learn pro music, I got more into Logic Pro.

If the recording was done with Pro-Tools I think it's best to stick to ProTools for live performances as well.
